U-Trough Conveyors. Built for Your Material.
From abrasive bulk solids to sanitary powders, we engineer complete U-trough screw conveyors directly from our factory in China. Sized precisely for your capacity, layout, and operating duty.
3D Design
Built Around Your Duty
We do not force projects into a fixed catalog model. Screw size, conveying length, speed, drive power, and arrangement are selected from your material behavior, required capacity, plant layout, and operating conditions.
Material bulk density & flowability, target capacity, total conveying distance, inclination, temperature, duty cycle, and plant interface requirements.
Diameter
Sized from material characteristics, capacity, trough loading, and allowable screw speed.
Length
Engineered around total conveying distance, support locations, intermediate joints, and maintenance access.
Capacity
Calculated from bulk density, fill level, screw geometry, RPM, and required operating duty.
Installation
Horizontal and inclined arrangements are evaluated against capacity loss, access, supports, and plant interfaces.
Final dimensions, RPM, motor power, and component selection are confirmed after application review.
Provides fast visual inspection, easy cleanout, and intermediate hanger bearing maintenance.
Where U-Trough Screw Conveyors Excel
U-trough screw conveyors are well suited to horizontal and moderately inclined bulk-solids handling where accessible trough construction, flexible inlet/discharge locations, and straightforward maintenance are important.
Free-Flowing Powders & Granules
Cement, fly ash, sand, chemical granules, grain, sugar, and flour. Screw geometry and operating speed are selected to match the material and required capacity.
Abrasive & Heavy Minerals
Equipped with replaceable Hardox liners, heavy-wall pipe shafts, and hardened flight edges to resist abrasion.
Food & Sanitary Processing
304/316L stainless steel, continuously welded & polished flights, quick-release clamps, and food-grade seal arrangements.
Sludge, Wet & Sticky Bulk Solids
For difficult sticky or fibrous materials, a shaftless configuration can be evaluated where reducing center-shaft buildup is important.
Engineer the Critical Components
Once the duty is defined, we configure the screw geometry, trough construction, material of construction, and drive arrangement around your process and maintenance requirements.
Spiral & Flight Variations
- • Sectional / Helicoil Flights: Standard for dry bulk powder conveying.
- • Ribbon Flight: Ideal for sticky, viscous, or lumpy materials to prevent buildup.
- • Paddle / Mixing Screws: Blends, aerates, or retards material while conveying.
- • Shaftless Heavy Spiral: For sludge, screenings, and stringy fibrous waste.
Trough Engineering
- • Replaceable Wear Liners: UHMW-PE, manganese steel, or Hardox bottom liners.
- • Drop-Bottom Cleanout Trough: Hinged bottom doors for rapid cleanout.
Material & Surface Treatment
- • Carbon Steel (Q235 / Q355): Sandblasted and epoxy polyurethane painted.
- • Stainless Steel (SS304 / SS316L): Acid pickled, passivated, or bead-blasted.
- • Duplex & Wear Alloys: 2205 Duplex, Hardox 450/500 for extreme corrosion/wear.
- • Sanitary Polish: Ra < 0.8 μm polished interior with full seam weld grinding.
Drive Options
- • Direct Drive: Compact direct connection between the gearbox and screw shaft.
- • Coupling Drive: Gearbox connected to the screw shaft through a coupling arrangement.
- • Chain & Sprocket Drive: Chain-driven arrangement for flexible speed and installation requirements.
Designed to Fit Your Line
Custom engineering also includes how the conveyor connects to your process, how it is supported, and how operators access it for inspection and maintenance.
Inlet & Outlet Connections
Flange size, position, quantity, and transition geometry matched to upstream and downstream equipment.
Supports & Elevation
Support points and mounting height coordinated with your structure and maintenance clearances.
Covers & Sealing
Cover access, inspection points, and shaft sealing selected for the material and operating environment.
Drive Orientation
Motor and gearbox arrangement coordinated with available space, access, and preferred service side.
Verify Before Shipment
Overseas equipment purchases require clear checkpoints. We reduce project risk through drawing confirmation, agreed material records, workshop fabrication evidence, dimensional checks, and pre-shipment run-test documentation.
Welding Quality
Submerged arc and TIG/MIG welding are used according to component requirements to ensure strong, consistent, and reliable welds.
Shaft Alignment Check
Shaft and screw assemblies are checked for concentricity and alignment to minimize runout and vibration during operation.
Shaft Runout Check
Shaft and screw assemblies are checked for runout to verify rotational accuracy and minimize vibration during operation.
Parameter Review
We confirm material bulk density, capacity, and plant layout.
GA Drawing Confirmation
Full 2D/3D outline drawings and technical datasheet confirmed by email.
Fabrication & FAT
Laser cutting, welding, assembly, and 2-hour run-testing with video report.
Export Crated Delivery
Seaworthy plywood crating, moisture-barrier wrapping, shipped worldwide.
Support Beyond Shipment
Project support does not end when the crate leaves the factory. We keep the approved drawings and equipment records available for follow-up support.
Remote Technical Support
Support for installation questions, commissioning checks, and troubleshooting based on project documents and operating feedback.
Replacement Components
Replacement screws, liners, bearings, seals, and other project-specific components can be supplied against approved equipment records.
Warranty Handling
Warranty issues are reviewed against the approved specification, supplied operating conditions, and equipment records so corrective action can be agreed clearly.
